What should I do about the witch?

Sorry that I haven't updated this blog in a while. I'm in the process of purchasing a new home, so I've been fairly distracted this past week. I hope to have everything sorted out within the next few days, so hopefully I'll be able to resume my postings. (And trust me, I have tons of photos, links and items to share.)

In the meantime, I need some advice. If we move to the new home, I'm not sure I can bring the witch. (Read more about her here) She's big and beautiful, but there wouldn't necessarily be a proper place to display her. I could sit her on the ground, but that might look weird. So...

If I decide to get rid of her, do you think I could find her a good home? Do you think there are any yard haunters reasonably close to NJ that would want her?

Humans Are Among Us

This was a very clever advertising campaign for the Sci Fi Network. I wouldn't mind owning one of those posters.

13 Haunted Mansion tombstones

Here is a collection of Haunted Mansion tombstone photos. Each one includes information on who the stone's epitaph is dedicated to. For instance, in this "Dear Departed Brother Dave" example, it's in honor of Imagineer Dave Burkhart who "began his career with Disney in 1967 serving as an artist model maker, building architecture and show models, including some full scale sets and props. He subsequently became a show designer and field art producer, working on attractions such as the Haunted Mansion, Swiss Family Treehouse and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."

A subtle costume

I've seen fake beards and moustaches. I guess fake nose hair was the next logical step.

I might have to try this. (I've been looking to replace my frayed hat.) Ralph Lauren's Rugby store lets you choose the hat and embroidery colors for a custom skull & crossbones combination.

Minimalist Halloween costumes

I spend so much time putting the make-up on my face, I never even think to apply it to my foot, hand, knee or ass.

O'Malley's Olde-Fashioned Chum

"Sharks love it", and so do I. Maybe I'll print this out and stick it onto a couple cans in my cupboard.

Animals eating animals

Sadly, Pop Ink no longer sells these cutesie cannibal-themed plates. Oh well. I'll keep an eye out for their return and let you know if they ever become available again.

One dead twin

Ad for Ritual Magazine showing a young girl holding hands with the ghost of her dead twin. Creepy, but beautiful. This gorgeous ad was created for Ritual magazine. "The first italian magazine of dark, gothic, electro, industrial music and culture." It depicts "the ghoulish and gloomy story of Melissa and Mircalla, who never had the chance of being sisters." Beautiful.

Bat and demon wallpaper

Trustworth Studios creates beautiful hand silk-screened wallpaper from vintage designs originally created in the 1890s during the English Arts and Crafts Movement. And though their per role price certainly isn't cheap, they do offer one option that most other wallpaper manufacturers don't... they will sell their designs by the foot! And at just $7 per foot, that's a pretty good deal. So you can spend $21 or $28 on bat wallpaper, toss it in a frame and BOOM!- instant art.
