To promote the release of Ryan Reynold's film Buried, "four lucky people were picked to be blindfolded, have a burlap sack put over their head, then silently driven 30 miles outside of the city. There, they were put in coffins and only then were they allowed to remove the blindfolds, where they’d see an LCD screen that would show Buried." (Via SuperPunch)

Advertise with zombie arms
To promote the release of the newest Resident Evil movie "hundreds of zombie arms were placed in sewer grates, flower beds, window displays, elevator doors, etc. all over Madrid." (Via Who Killed Bambi)

Advertising with Chatroulette
This is fantastic! The makers of "The Last Exorcism" did some guerilla marketing for the film using Chatroulette. Guys who tuned in expected the young woman to disrobe. Instead, she did this...

Humans Are Among Us
This was a very clever advertising campaign for the Sci Fi Network. I wouldn't mind owning one of those posters.

One dead twin
This gorgeous ad was created for Ritual magazine. "The first italian magazine of dark, gothic, electro, industrial music and culture." It depicts "the ghoulish and gloomy story of Melissa and Mircalla, who never had the chance of being sisters." Beautiful.

Industrial Goth
These seem more like the type of graphics you might expect to see in a horror film than in a print ad for handmade boots.

Check your head
I like this advertising campaign for Los Inrockuptibles (an Argentinian magazine about music, movies, books, etc.) It also makes me think... what would spill out of my head in a similar situation? Halloween stuff, my family, magic tricks, chairs, etc. What would pour out of your head?

Bleeding Billboards
A New Zealand-based ad agency created this billboard to remind drivers that they should drive
more slowly when it rains. Under sunny conditions, the billboard shows the image of a cute little boy. As soon as it starts to rain though, that little boy starts to bleed all over the place. (Click here for more information.)

Halloween and beer, continued
After reading Tuesday's Heineken Halloween post, "McScary" sent me this devilish Guinness ad. (How the Guinness folks ever got that photo of me relaxing in the comfort of my own home remains a mystery.)

Vampires invade New Zealand
To advertise the upcoming season of HBO's "True Blood" this guerrilla marketing campaign was rolled out in New Zealand. Just snap off a stake and you're ready to start killing vampires.
