Update: Skull face tattoo

I wrote about this guy back in 2007. At the time, he only (and I use the word "only" very loosely) had his face tattooed. Well, since then his zombification has continued and that haunted ink has spread over his entire body.

For more photos of Rick the tattooed zombie boy, click here.

Zombie Fest invite

This pillow was the invitation to a 2009 zombie-film festival. In 2010, "an envelope with holes in it was sent out to the members of the festival. Inside the envelope there was a fold-out poster with bullet holes everywhere, except for the head. (The only place where a zombie can be killed)." (Via Ads Of The World)

Advertise with zombie arms

To promote the release of the newest Resident Evil movie "hundreds of zombie arms were placed in sewer grates, flower beds, window displays, elevator doors, etc. all over Madrid." (Via Who Killed Bambi)

Humans Are Among Us

This was a very clever advertising campaign for the Sci Fi Network. I wouldn't mind owning one of those posters.

Zombie cake

A mother made this fantastic zombie birthday cake for her low-budget zombie film-loving eight year-old daughter. The tombstone is made of cardboard, but absolutely everything else is edible. Apparently, this is one of the first 3-D cakes she's ever created. Amazing.

What would a zombie do?

"One of these days, zombies will rise from the dead and take over the world. In the meantime, you can kind of get a feel for what they’re all about with this handy spin folder. Each glossy folder features classic spinner technology; just flick the spinner and watch it twirl round and round before stopping on an answer."

Remote control zombie

"Run! Hide! Barricade yourself in the basement of an abandoned farmhouse! This plastic remote control zombie will trudge forward and groan when you activate him by pressing the button on the brain-shaped remote."

Steve Urkel, the zombie

I've written about artist Alex Pardee before, but had no idea he was capable of capturing my favorite television nerd of 1991 zombie-style!

Zombie girl

Great make-up job! This woman was wandering around ComicCon promoting Z.O.M.B.I.E. figures.

That zombie's eating Spider-Man!

My son and I couldn't resist getting our faces painted during a recent trip to Universal Studios. Believe it or not, people acted a little weird when they saw a grown man with a zombie-painted face holding hands with a very small Spider-Man. I think they were just jealous!

America's Next Top Zombie Model

This is an actual VH1 show. No kidding. (Well, technically, it's a pilot that was produced for VH1. The series was not picked up though, so we'll never know the identity of the ultimate victor.)

Shooting the bad guys

shooting range target featuring Darth Vader, the Terminator, a zombie, Freddy Kreuger, a Space Invader, Megatron, Godzilla, Agent Smith, and GoombaWhen you're at the gun range, why bother shooting at anonymous silhouettes when you can fire away at some of cinema's biggest baddies? Designer Olly Moss has created these targets featuring Darth Vader, the Terminator, a zombie, Freddy Kreuger, a Space Invader, Megatron, Godzilla, Agent Smith, and Goomba. And there's a good chance that the design will be available on t-shirts sometime soon.
