Target hates your mom's homemade costumes
I get that they're in the business of selling costumes this time of year, but why did they have to make fun of crafty moms? That's a pretty awesome looking Iron Man costume.

Dogs without dignity
Please don't put your pets in costumes. It robs them of the little dignity they have.

Google turns up the darndest things
When you search for the word "Halloween" on Google Images often enough, you end up seeing some really unusual things. Here's one in particular that grabbed me. Unfortunately, there was no real description attached, so I can't tell you why these young women thought carving pumpkins nude was a good idea. (I also can't tell you what the woman in the middle is supposed to be dressed as. I mean, I get the "nude woman with knife through head" costume on the left, and "devil nude" on the right, but "nude nude" in the middle? Doesn't make any sense.

Socially conscious yet sexy
There should be more socially-conscious yet sexy Halloween costumes. Thank you, Love Train, for showing me the error of my ways.

It's a Mythbusters Halloween!!!
Mythbusters is one of my favorite shows, but even I was surprised to see how many people have dressed up as Adam and Jamie for Halloween. Here's a small sample of the pictures I was able to find. Interestingly, about 75% of the time, "Adam" is portrayed by a woman. (I've never found Adam's features to be particularly feminine, but maybe I'm missing something.)

The Tron guy
Here's a step-by-step guide to how "The Tron Guy" created his infamous costume. Warning: By following the above link, you are subjecting yourself to a plethora of images of Tron Guy in a unitard. Caveat emptor.

Mechanical wings
Here's a very expensive, but very cool costume.
"Just strap the thing on, push a switch, and the wings will extend or retract Hollywood style! Thanks to carbon fiber and extruded aluminum, the wings look amazingly lifelike. To add to it, the wingtips glow an eerie blue, red, green, yellow, purple, or white while expanding."
