Monster flicker stickers

As a lenticular collector and Halloween lover, I was thrilled to discover these Universal Monster Flicker Stickers. Released in 1992, there are six different lenticulars, featuring Frankenstein, his bride, Wolfman, Mummy, Dracula and the Creature. Each one "flickers" between serious and goofy images.

Hairy Scary Monster

Kind of like Wooly Willy, except scary. "Hairy Scary Monsters lets you play the role of a mad scientist experimenting with a human face. Just move around the metal shavings with the magnetic plastic wand to transform the generic face into a hideous and frightening monster!"

My summer house

My family has been spending summers in this little cabin for nearly 100 years now. Here are photos of the entrace in the in '50s Parco dei Mostri circa 1952 (with my grandfather in the doorway) and today. It's located in Parco dei Mostri ("Park of the Monsters") in Bomarzo, Italy. Feel free to stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

Do it yourself ambigrams

This MONSTER ambigram will appear the same whether it's upside-down and rightside-upSince people seemed to enjoy the previous ambigram posting so much...
I've found a site that will "translate" any word you type into an ambigram. (In fact, if you type two words of the same length, they'll make them the inverted images of each other.) Some words work better than others. "Monster" looks great. Most of the other words I tried though ("Haunt Style", "Pumpkinrot", "ghost" and "witch") didn't look quite right. Give it a shot. Maybe you'll create something great.

Send a comment and let me know what words work well for you.

Make your own monster

If you can draw it, they can make it. "The experience begins when you receive the Make-My-Own-Monster Design Kit, that includes colored pencils, paper, and a detailed questionnaire. With this kit you create not only what the monster looks like, but you also create a story about the monster and describe his or her personality. Once you've completed the kit and sent it in, the designers at North American Bear Co. will faithfully reproduce your design as a plush monster, including a descriptive hang-tag that tells the story of your monster as you have described it and identifies you as the creator."

I have no idea what this is or where it's originally from but I like it.

Monster shoes

These handmade shoes are no longer available on Etsy, but they're still pretty cute and worth admiring. If I had daughters, I would dress them up in these shoes.
