Cartoon character skeletons
Here is an interesting site. This artist renders the skeletal systems of iconic cartoon characters to see what they might resemble
"if one truly had eye sockets half the size of its head, or fingerless-hands, or feet comprising 60% of its body mass."

Animatronic singing skeletons
I wish I was able to bring animatronic figures to life the way that this person has. His quartet of singing skeletons blew me away. Click here to see them singing "Halloween Spooks" by Lambert, Hendricks & Ross.

Prop idea of the day
In keeping with today's lighting theme, check out GrimVisions' skeleton lights. I love these things. Very creative. I'm sure they look amazing hanging on the front of his house.
UPDATE:
According to Krough at GrimVisions, the "skin" on the ribcages of these skeletons was made by coating waxpaper with "Sculpt Or Coat" (by Sculptural Arts Coatings)
Click here to see a picture of these lights at night.

Decorating with bones
If you ever find yourself in the Czech Republic, be sure to swing by the town of Sedlec and "Czech out" the Sedlec Ossuary. (According to Wikipedia, "an ossuary is a chest, building, well, or site made to serve as the final resting place of human skeletal remains.")
